Auralyn, the Ashbinder

Cleric of The Silent Mercy

Before she was called the Ashbinder, she was known as Seris
Vael
—a devoted sword of the Oathsworn Legion. Cold,
focused, and bound by command, she was entrusted with a weapon unlike
any other: a blade forged from the crimson ore of a fallen star.

She named it the Red Echo—As it sliced through
the air, the blade released a sharp, metallic hum that lingered just
a breath too long. The tone was felt more in the spine than the ears
like a struck bell submerged in blood, mournful, unnatural, quivering
like something that had been flayed and forgot to die. It carries
the faint whispers of those it had slain. In time, even Seris began
to believe the sword remembered.

She obeyed without question—until Mavarth.

When the order came to raze the village, Seris carried it out. Red
Echo sang louder than ever. And when the smoke cleared, when the
truth unraveled, the echoes would not stop.

She vanished.

Years later, she returned—draped in soot-gray robes, her hands
wrapped in cloth to hide the past they carried. She carried a
healer's staff, crowned with seven crimson rings
that chimed softly with each step. Red Echo was not cast
aside, but reforged
. Melted down, shaped anew. The rings
were formed from its shattered edge. The blade that once sang with
death now whispers with Life.

Now known as Auralyn, the Ashbinder, she walks
Mythoss as a cleric of The Silent Mercy. She binds
wounds where once she caused them. She calms haunted spirits,
reconciles broken vows, and moves quietly through the ashes of the
world she helped burn. She speaks rarely. Her staff rings softly. The
sword no longer sings.

But the echo remains—bound now not to death, but to the sacred
stillness between the heartbeats.
